About our Business

James Fokes, owner and operator, has over 30 years of experience in various building trades. James was in the drywall business for over 15 years, where he established a reputation for quality work that continues to draw requests to this day. In the zero-clearance fireplace business, James earned the business of 97% of contractros in Cumberland County before leaving the field after a car accident. As a renovator, James has restored and beautified hundreds of homes and businesses in the area over a period spanning nearly two decades.

Bill Wurst, James's son, began work as an apprentice in the fireplace business at age 11. Since, he has worked in good standing at six different construction companies either in Fayetteville, NC or the Florida Keys. Bill is a professional rough and finish carpenter, including but not limited to metal and wood framing (including roofs and stairs), concrete construction, and all types of custom trim.
